There are many lessons to be learned from COVID-19 that I will cover in subsequent blogs, however, in my last article, I identified the most important lesson:
“While competition is a good way to succeed for a few; Collaboration is a BETTER way to succeed for the many”
If we are to minimize the impact of Covid-19 and protect the greatest number of people from this pandemic, we must come together as a global community. While this may sound challenging, it is the only way we will survive this era and come out thriving on the other side.
Surviving, means preserving the health of the people, which consists of:
- Keeping everyone from getting infected
- Helping infected people recover.
- Develop a long term, permanent cure.
- Develop a vaccine to prevent further outbreaks
Thriving in the post COVID-19 world depends on surviving first, so I will leave the thriving for future articles and focus now on surviving by coming together.
Bringing people together is not a new phenomenon, it has been going on since man first learned to communicate. Throughout history, we have had places of worship, townhalls, community centers, etc., but they were all limited by space and time, therefore only small parts of the community could come together. The internet has removed this limitation. Now we can ALL meet, virtually, to find solutions to COVID-19, the global community problem.
So how do we get 8 billion people to collaborate? This HelpXchange portal is designed to provide the platform where people can come together easily. Having the platform is just the start. Just as a townhall is only effective if people actually attend the meetings, HelpXchange.org is only as effective as the number of people that use it.
Each of us can make a difference by:
- Signing on to helpXchange.org and inviting others to join
- Exploring the site and learning about the various roles and opportunities available
- Reading the blogs so you understand the crisis and the mission
- Participating in the various activities available on this portal
Remember, everyone has value and everything you do matters, so get involved and become part of the solution to help save lives.
